Cancel those subscriptions for tools that you are not using. I don’t think I have to say much about this because sometimes you might not even know the tools that you’re subscribed to, especially if you have a large team. You have a large business, you have multiple teams, and they’re probably subscribed to stuff that they’re not even using. So you’re going to have to reach out to the managers of these teams, or whoever is responsible, and ask them to check their transaction history. Look at the monthly charges for tools that are not being used. Check with people on the team and see which tools they are subscribed to that they’re not even using. Log in and see when they were last used. Then cancel those subscriptions.
Most of these tools are not going to delete your data immediately after you stop using them. Reach out to your team members and let them know it’s time to cancel. I’ve worked with people who have had subscriptions for two or three years, and they’re not using them, so it’s a waste of money. They keep their Zapier subscriptions, their Loom subscriptions, their Jira subscriptions, especially when they have multiple project management tools in place, or when different teams are using different project management tools. It’s just a waste. Cancel those things. Move what you can move, if possible. If not, just cancel them.
