I think I’ve used this phrase a lot: a hoarder’s paradise. Now, this is not to dump on anyone who has this problem, but if you have a setup that you’ve kept for a while, this could even happen two years down the line, and you’re collecting folders and spaces. You know that nothing is going on there. You’re not even keeping anything inside these spaces, folders, workspaces, dashboards, reports. Whatever it is you’re building, be it forms, interfaces, fields, you don’t have anything there. Those automations especially, you have collected everything that can be collected, and you’re not doing anything with it. You have to know how to let it go.
You have to carry out an audit and remove those things that are not serving you. Look at the ones that should serve you but are not being utilized. You’re not even looking at those because you’re focused on the next shiny thing that’s popping up. You have to clean things periodically, even if it’s every quarter, every six months, or every year. Just take out some time and look at the things that you shouldn’t be using or paying for, and clean them up. Take them out. Cancel them. Most of them are still going to be there afterward. The data isn’t going to disappear if you cancel it. Just cancel those things.
