Yes and no. Teams that work with a lot of projects track unique processes and workflows. Every team, business, or company is quite different. What business A tracks might not be what business B tracks. And with projects or even with operations, we need a way to track performance and velocity. And a lot of those tools, like Airtable, of course, you can track it. It will involve a little tweaking and moving a lot of things around. But then some tools are specifically built for teams like this.
For teams that work with a lot of projects, or want to track how their people have been operating or working over time, you have tools that work very well for marketing teams, you have tools that work very well for creative teams, or for project teams. And all of them have specific features. They can track velocity and performance, and look at how teams have been interacting with the statuses, how projects have been moving from each status, how often or how long, and what the average time it takes for a project to go from start to finish, all done easily. It’s better to use these tools that fit your business well instead of spending time tweaking a solution. Remember, a bird may love a fish, but where would they live?
