Custom Project Management Tools Don’t Have to Be Complicated

Let’s look at custom project management tools. The thing with no-code apps that I really like is that if you want a simple project tracker or task tracker, you can easily build one. And it doesn’t come with all the other things you’d see in traditional tools. So much is taken out, and it leaves you with the basics: putting in your projects, the tasks, start date, end date, details, assigning, and you can simply go from there.

With this, you can improve it as much as possible and add features. These are some of the things that you can add, automation-wise and feature-wise. You want to notify people when the project is completed? Sure. You want to notify people when a project has been sitting there for days, or when it’s getting within three days of a deadline? Sure. You want to send emails to all the assignees when something happens or when they should update details? Sure. There’s a lot that can be done, or that is possible feature-wise. You want to connect this project to your CRM? Sure. When you assign a person, they’re taken through a flow that is recorded as a project? Sure. You have a new client and automatically create an onboarding project? Sure. There’s really a lot you can do, and you can still keep it simple.
