With clients, this is a question I always ask because if the purpose of a system or a tool is too vague, then you’ll have too many things going. You have everything in it, and it doesn’t really show or tell why it’s been created. If it’s too granular, it’s too specific. You’re only able to do one thing, and there might be issues when you want to expand. So you always have to specify at the start how broad you want to get or if you want to be very specific about the function of this tool. Some people want something that is quite large and can accommodate or carry out different functions. Others want something that is just for one thing. They just want to be able to come in, log on, do one thing, carry out this activity, and just go. With a broader setup, you want to have everything. You want all of these features, but you also want to have it in a way that is reasonable.
