Onboard Slowly or All at Once?

When onboarding team members on a tool, a traditional one, you can pull them in at once. But when you’re creating a custom tool, it’s probably better to onboard a small number at a certain time. Bring in your first 10, 20, 30 users and see how they interact with the tool. Look for feedback and see how you can improve based on the feedback that was provided.

With the traditional tool, you can pull everyone in, as long as you know the environment is good, stable, and solid, everything is there, and you can improve based on them. But with a custom tool, it’s better to monitor behavior and see how it responds to multiple users at a time. See how they’re interacting, see where there is friction, see what is turning them around. So you monitor this, improve based on feedback, and once everything’s okay, you can bring the rest in.
